Are you getting a new computer because of a software problem? Before you go out and get a new computer, get advice on whether you need to make that leap yet. Sadly, software does not copy to a new computer as your personal files do. Usually, the most painful part of this is that Microsoft Office may need to be repurchased, and it may cost about $150. The good news: Unlike QuickBooks or Quicken, newer releases of Microsoft Office tend to be improvements, rather than an avenue for testing or marketing.

So what can you do? Assess how much of your personal data you want to keep. Go to This PC>>OS(C:)>>Users>>Your Profile and right-click on that folder to see how much data you have. You are welcome to also start copying your data to a drive of some sort.
