Maintenance is the key to making your computer more reliable, and recovering from a problem more quickly. Most computer maintenance tasks can be done by you, the computer user,....or are automatically done by your computer. Look to the right for routine maintenance tasks, in order of importance.

Now, not every computer user is comfortable with doing their own maintenance, and we understand that. If this describes you, then you might be a candidate for putting remote-control software on your computer so that we can take over during off hours and complete maintenance tasks. Our policy is to never access a computer without a confimed appointment (warning) at a time that's convenient for you. You simply have to leave your computer on and connected to the Internet for this to work.
There are numerous other maintenance tasks that can be done, such as updates, spyware cleanup, backup verification, and system optimization. All of these can be done remotely on a schedule that suits your needs.
Computer maintenance entails:
#1: Malware Avoidance
Update all valid programs
Run at least two anti-spyware programs
every three weeks.
#2: Backups
Run automated backup software.
Verify backups every three months.
#3: File/Folder Mangement
Organize and 'declutter' files and folders.
Clean desktop of unecessary items.
